Cow's Omasum are commonly used in hot pot, stir-fry and other purposes. Cantonese people can also steam it and eat it as a snack when drinking tea. Fresh Cow's Omasum must be processed to be refreshing and delicious. Ways to eat it include: blanching, steaming with ginger and scallions, stir-frying with black beans and peppers, or roasting them in a stove, etc.

牛柏葉一般用作火鍋、炒食等用途。廣東人飲茶時也會把它蒸熟當點心。新鮮的牛柏葉必須經過處理才會爽脆可口。食法例如:白灼牛柏葉、薑蔥蒸牛柏葉、豉椒炒牛柏葉、或打邊爐等等。
